Searching for a candidate

Write-Up

In this brief walkthrough, we’ll cover How to Search for a Candidate. If you have additional questions, please contact your dedicated Client Success Team.

This screenshot displays the candidate search bar, which is omnipresent across the Clovers platform; regardless of the tab you’re in, you have the ability to look for a candidate. If you know the name of who you’re looking for, you can enter it there and it will yield your result. The steps below will cover how to filter & search for our candidate for this example

Step 1). Navigate to the “Candidates Tab.” Once on the page, the panel with the header “Refine” will provide you with options to filter down to your desired specificity. In this example, we’ll be using the two most common filters “Requisition” and “Division” to find our candidate.

Step 2). Within the respective filters for Requisition and Division, type in the details of the candidate you’re searching for in order to narrow down your results. For this example we’ll be searching for the candidate Christian Richardson, who applied for the Jr. QA Engineer requisition, which falls under the Engineering division. Once we’ve filled in our desired search parameters, click into “Apply Filters” to yield your results.

Step 3). After you’ve applied the filters, you’ll be presented with the results from your search parameters. Here, we’ve found our candidate Christian Richardson, who applied for the Jr QA role for our Engineering division. Additionally, there are other details we can see such as how long the role has been open for (Days Open), Status, Rating, Clover reel, and Actions we can take.

Step 4). The last step is the ability to sort our candidates in a variety of ways. This becomes more valuable as candidates begin to accumulate within your list. Here, we’ll switch our search from “Days open: Shortest” to “Days open: Longest.” This will invert our yielded results and populate the candidate we searched for at the very top of the list.

Congratulations! You’ve now successfully learned how to Search for a Candidate.
